First-Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref in a
meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Tehran Jose Ramiro Rodriguez here
on Sunday called for consolidation of mutual ties.
At the meeting, Aref described bilateral relations as satisfactory
and underlined continuation and consolidation of mutual ties mainly in
the scientific, technical and bio-technology given the commonalties
between the two countries.
Highlighting Cuba's status in Iran's foreign policy, he said the
exchange of official-level visits and strengthening the joint-economic
commission will be useful in upgrading Tehran-Havana relations.
The Cuban ambassador, for his part, referred to Iran's status in
the region and underlined further consolidation and expansion of
political, economic and scientific relations as well as following up
the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries.
